Botnets and Anti-Social Communities
A bot (short for robot) is code that automates a process. Of late, bad bots have been getting a lot of press. These "bad boys" hitchhike a ride on spam e-mail and instant messages. Once a bad bot compromises a computer, a chain of havoc starts. Like gossip, when one computer spreads a bot to another computer, it's hard to stop it.
