Blogs Connect Israelis, Lebanese

Television brought the Vietnam War into people's living rooms. During 911, telephone connectivity in NYC, its suburbs and Washington, D.C. was congested or down. We live in a NYC suburb and our son lived across the street from the Pentagon. We, along with many others, used instant messaging to talk with family and friends. Today, blogs are connecting people who would have never talked with each other.

No one is crossing the border today, either -- at least not civilians -- but they can argue with each other, insult each other, empathize with each other. All they have to do is turn on their computer.

So read the article As battles rage, blogs connect Israelis, Lebanese in our local newspaper today.
