digWin.com Goes Beta: "Microsofties" Rejoice!

My Singaporean friend Shaji Firoz invited me to participate in digWin.com -- a Microsoft Technology-centric community news/discussion site. Much like Digg, the digWin community members can submit posts. Popular posts gain recognition by being "voted-up." digWin.com is sponsored by MessagingTalk.org .

Here's part of my email dialogue with Shaji about digWin.com.

[Maurene] What is the mission of digWin.com? [Shaji] We want digWin to be the source for everything that's new on the web that interests Microsoft Tech Community.
[Maurene]Whom do you hope to attract? [Shaji] digWin is a community news/discussion site on Microsoft Technologies. At digWin users own the editorial control. Users do it by Voting up the stories they like. So the visitors ranges from IT pros, developers, evangelists, MSFT, MS bloggers, MS solutions vendors, Analysts, PR to end users
[Maurene] Do you anticipate the audience to be Asia/Pac centric or global? [Shaji] This site is for Global MS community, not any regions specific.
[Maurene] Who is sponsoring digWin.com? [Shaji] digWin.com is funded & supported by MessagingTalk.org.
[Maurene] How is MessagingTalk.org funded? [Shaji] MessagingTalk.org is a self-funded site. The revenue comes mainly from advertising. The revenue is used to improve the contents at MessagingTalk.org and to make more relevant platforms and tools for the community. digWin is part of the initiative of MessagingTalk.org in the similar direction
