On 9/11, Pause to Reflect on Life

I've often wondered whether people living far away feel the same 9/11 emotions as those of us in the NYC area. I have no desire to visit Ground Zero. Watch visitors take photos of the emptyness. Fingers pointing up at what once was.

In the mid 1990s I worked on the 93rd floor of Tower A. I took the elevator from the lobby to the 78th floor and crossed over to a local elevator. Windows on the World had the best key lime pie. The shine of the lobby floors. The shops. The people. The subway. The view from the 93rd floor of the sun setting. These are the memories I will hold onto forever.
